2. Lei Day Entertainment at Queens’ Marketplace (May 1st)

🎶 What: Celebrate Lei Day with live music, lei making, ‘ukulele lessons, and a hula show finale. Face painting and lawn games for the keiki (children) add to the festive atmosphere. Enjoy performances by ‘ukulele player Kris Fuchigami, slack key guitarist John Keawe, and the Beamer-Solomon Halau O Po’ohala from 4-7pm.
3. Kamuela Philharmonic Pops Concert (May 5th)

📍 Where: Kahilu Theatre, Waimea
🎼 What: Under the direction of Brian Dollinger, the Kamuela Philharmonic will perform iconic works by Henry Mancini, Frank Sinatra, Morton Gould, Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, and more. The concert begins at 2pm, and tickets are available online or at the box office.
4. Japanese Children’s Day Festival (Kodomo No Matsuri) (May 4th)

📍 Where: Sangha Hall, Hilo
🎈 What: The Japanese Community Association of Hawaii presents a special Children’s Day Festival. Enjoy free activities, food, and live performances for all ages.
